New U.S. Department of Energy Program Will Invest $30 Million into Quantum Research

  1. Center for Nanoscale Materials at Argonne National Laboratory

  2. Center for Functional Nanomaterials at Brookhaven National Laboratory

  3. The Molecular Foundry at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

  4. Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences at Oak Ridge National Laboratory

  5. Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies, jointly managed by Sandia National Laboratory and Los Alamos Laboratory, with locations in Albuquerque and Los Alamos, New Mexico The deadline for submission of a pre-proposal is June 1, 2018 and the deadline for the full proposal is July 18, 2018.  DOE indicated that this is the first of a series of funding awards they plan to make for QIS in FY2018.  For more details, you can view the DOE press release here and the full program announcement here.
