Quandela to Use CEA-Leti to Manufacture Its Photonic Chips

French start-up Quandela announced that it will use the Information Technology Laboratory of the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA-Leti) to manufacture its photonic chips to help provide them with a more controllable domestic supply chain. The first chips from this partnership are expected to be available in early 2023. Quandela is working on a 6-qubit NISQ processor which they intend to make available as a web service through OVHCloud by the end of the year. Also, Quandela has a photonic computer programming and simulation software platform named Perceval which allows users to simulate, model, and test their software that enables users to immediately use the hardware when it becomes available.
