Quantum Bridge has developed a encryption key distribution technology that they call Distributed Symmetric Key Exchange (DSKE) that provides for the distribution of symmetric encryption keys without the use asymmetrical algorithms like RSA or PQC. The technique relies on pre-shared random numbers between DSKE clients and a group of Security Hubs. Innovative Solutions Canada is a Government of Canada innovation program that provides funding to Canadian innovators. They will be testing two Quantum Bridge products that use this DSKE technique called Key Management Entity and Black Phone. The Key Management Entity uses DSKE to deliver keys to network hardware in any layer of the communications stack. Black Phone an application that uses pre-shared keys on mobile devices to protect and authenticate all the devices voice and data communication. Additional information about this contract is available in a news release available here. And additional information about Quantum Bridge's DSKE technology is described in a preprint paper which can be accessed here.
