These 2022 awards were made by Quantum Delta NL in collaboration with the NWO (Dutch Research Council). It is part of an overall Dutch government budget of €42 million ($44.3M USD) for scientific research and innovation over a seven year period. There will be a similar call for awards in 2023 with additional projects selected for funding at that time. The projects funded in the 2022 award selection are as follows:
An Integrated Quantum Circuit
Using regular computers for predicting and reducing the influence of noise in quantum computers
Quantum revolution will be automatized
Digital-analog quantum computing: a win-win situation
Experimental quantum position verification
Ion Jail for new quantum simulator
Network Security via Quantum Sensing
How energy efficient can quantum computing be?
Trapped ions make excellent quantum bits
Detecting microwaves using quantum sensors in diamond
Noisy quantum computers ‘under control’
Enhancing mechanical quantum sensors with flashes of light
Searching for the correct molecular mirror image
Metal atoms in semiconductors go quantum-telecom
An ultrasensitive magnetic microscope based on a diamond quantum sensor
Listening to Josephson junctions: do they contain new fundamental particles?
Additional information about these awards can be seen in a news blog posted on the Quantum Delta NL website here.
