Quantum Machines, an Israeli based provider of quantum control hardware and software, acquired Denmark based Qdevil last year. Qdevil develops and manufactures auxiliary electronics and specialized components for quantum processors. They have announced a new product from the Qdevil subsidiary which is a chip carrier called QCage.64 designed to provide a high amount of isolation from the external environment, yet good connectivity for control lines for superconducting processor chips. The aim is to help the chip minimize losses and maintain a longer coherence time because of the improved isolation. The carrier has a low-loss PCB with 64 embedded coplanar transmission lines and can handle superconducting chips with up to 30 qubits and also provides enclosure of the chip with EMC tight superconducting shielding with a flux biasing magnet inside the shielding. Additional information about this new product is available in a blog posting on the Quantum Machines website here and a product page for the QCage.64 carrier here.
