Quantum Salaries in the U.S.

The demand for quantum trained individuals is hot right now as can be seen by the growing number of jobs that we’ve listed on the Quantum Computing Report Jobs pages. The number of open positions has more than doubled within the past year over the past year. We now list over 800 quantum related job openings worldwide for commercial companies alone.  As one might have expected, the salaries being paid have also grown and are quite attractive for those who are qualified to fill the positions.

A UK based consulting firm, Quantum Futures with operations in the U.S., has provided us with salary information for positions in the United States for various quantum positions. This data is based upon the job postings and jobs placements that they have encountered in the course of their work. The amounts only reflect the base salaries and do not include bonuses, stock options, or other benefits. Although this data was not compiled via a fully scientific survey, each entry does represent an average of about 40-50 data points so these numbers are not just derived from one or two outliers that could have greatly skewed the analysis.  Shown below is data they have provided to us from their analysis.
