Quside Receives Venture Investment from German Firm TRUMPF Ventures

Although the exact amount of the investment from TRUMPF Ventures was not specified, it is said to be in the single-digit millions of euros. Quside is a startup located near Barcelona, Spain and founded in 2018 as a spinout from ICFO. They provide very high speed quantum random number generators (QRNG) with performance in the Gb/second range. Their devices are used to create highly random number streams for use in encryption and certain simulation applications. The devices provide random numbers with high entropy since they are based upon quantum mechanical properties and they are also low in power because they are built with photonic integrated circuit technology.
