Super.tech, a Chicago based quantum software company, has received a $1.65 million Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase 2 award from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for a project titled: Increased Reliability for Near-Term Quantum Computers via Low-Level Control. The funds will be used to support the company's core research and development as well as supporting an increasing customer base for their SuperstaQ software product. Additional information about Super.tech and the award can be found in an announcement on the Duality Accelerator website here and also a DOE announcement of its recent SBIR and STTR awards here.
QuantrolOx is a UK based company founded in 2021 that is developing machine learning software to automatically tune, calibrate, stabilize and optimize qubits. As the number of qubits in the quantum processors continue to increase, this process gets more and more complicated and having an automated way of doing it becomes mandatory. The company has received a £1.4 million seed funding round led by Nielsen Ventures and Hoxton Ventures with additional participation from Voima Ventures, Remus Capital, Hermann Hauser, and Laurent Caraffa. Additional details are available in a press release located on their website here.
