The statement was signed on November 30, 2022 and is similar to other statements the U.S. has signed with the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Switzerland. The agreement was signed by Dr. Arati Prabhakar, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and Chief Science Advisor to President Biden and Dr. Sylvie Retailleau, French Minister for Higher Education and Research. As a next step, the participants are hoping to conduct a joint workshop to explore potential scientific collaborations that could be formed between researchers in both countries. Additional information about this statement of cooperation is available in a notice on the U.S's National Quantum Coordination Office (NQCO) website here.
