U.S. Department of Energy Will Provide $45 Million for Quantum Related Chemical and Materials Res...

The U.S. Department of Energy will provide funding of $45 million over three years for research into two areas. The first area involves chemical and materials sciences research aimed at the design and discovery of novel systems and materials relevant to the development of quantum information science. And the second involves using quantum computing to solve problems in chemical and materials science research.

This funding opportunity is open to national laboratories, universities and non-profits and has a pre-application deadline of February 13, 2019 and a final application deadline of May 3, 2019. For more details, click here to review DOE's news release announcing this initiative.
