Who's News: Management Changes at Quantum Computing Inc. and Rigetti Computing

Quantum Computing Inc. (QCI), has appointed Jim Simon to create and lead a new Technical Advisory Board for the company. For the past ten years, Mr. Simon has been serving as a consultant advising enterprises and government on topics including cybersecurity and data analytics. He is also an adjunct instructor at the University of Alabama focusing on cybersecurity. Earlier M. Simon worked at Microsoft helping them develop solutions for the public sector and government markets. Before Microsoft, he held senior positions with the Central Intelligence Agency. Quantum Computing Inc., Additionally, QCI has also added Dr. Carl Weimer to its Board of Directors. Dr. Weimer has 22 years of aerospace experience and currently serves as Chief Technologist for the Ball Civil Business Unit. In another announcement from QCI, they have launched a new subsidiary called QI Solutions to provide quantum solutions to the government and defense markets to the government and defense markets and they have named Sean Gabeler as President of this subsidiary. Mr. Gabeler previously served for over 30 years as a Special Operations Officer for the U.S. Department of Defense and has a deep understanding of the operational requirements in this sector. Rigetti has named Jeffrey Bertelsen as their new CFO replacing the previous CFO, Brian Sereda. Mr. Bertelsen comes to Rigetti with seventeen years of experience working at CyberOptics Corporation, a manufacturer of high precision sensors and inspection systems, where he was the CFO and COO. Mr. Bertelsen previously worked with Rigetti's new CEO, Dr. Subodh Kulkarni, who was the CEO of CyberOptics before it was acquired by Nordson Corporation in November 2022. In another management change, Rigetti announced that David Rivas has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer, replacing Mike Harburn who has left the company. Mr. Rivas was previously the company's Senior Vice President, Systems and Services since 2019 and before that held senior positions Nokia, Sun Microsystems and other companies.
