Who's News: Management Updates at SEEQC, Riverlane, Arqit, and Multiverse Computing

SEEQC has created a new Scientific Advisory Board and appointed a new Vice President of Engineering. Members of the advisory board include Javad Shabani, assistant professor of physics at NYU, professors from the University of Napoli Federico II, Francesco Tafuri and Giovanni Piero Pepe, and Maxim Vavilov, professor at the University of Wisconsin. Their responsibility will be to provide guidance to SEEQC;s team and ensure that SEEQC's bases its products, research, and development upon sound scientific data. SEEQC has also added to its leadership team by adding Dr. Shu-Jen Han as its vice president of engineering. Dr. Han has extensive experience in semiconductor technology having worked at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center and later at HFC Semiconductor’s Advanced Memory Technology Division. You can see more about these additions at SEEQC by viewing a news release available here.
Riverlane has appointed Dr. Earl Campbell as Head of Architecture will responsibility for their efforts to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing hardware. Dr. Campbell most recently was associated with the quantum team at Amazon Web Services where he contributed to their proposal for a novel quantum computing architecture. Before that he was an EPSRC research fellow and senior lecturer at Sheffield University. Riverlane's announcement of his appointment can be found here.
Arqit has announced the appointment of Boon Hui Khoo as an advisor. He is an internationally regarded expert in law enforcement and cybersecurity and previously held positions as Senior Deputy Secretary of Singapore’s Home Affairs Ministry, Police Commissioner of Singapore, and as President of INTERPOL. He has also served on numerous working groups, commissions, and boardsm to provide his expertise to organizations working in the financial services, fintech, healthcare, security, cybersecurity, and philanthropy sectors. And Multiverse has brought on Michel Kurek as CEO of its French subsidiary headquartered in Paris. Kurek had a 25-year career in the investment banks of the Crédit Agricole and Societe Generale groups and most recently had own consulting company working on various issues related to quantum technologies. He is the author of a recent study titled Patents, Publications and Investments in Quantum Technologies regarding the emerging quantum ecosystem.
